Magandang Dalaga

So I just got back from the hospital and this was probably the best day I've had since I started. My patient was an 87 year old caucasian male with jaundice and pneumonia. But he was the sweetest old man, pretty talkative too! =) And the one thing that really caught me by surprise was the fact that he knew some tagalog words and phrases! When he found out I'm Filipina, he started bustin' out like it was nothing! "Do you like manok (chicken) or baboy (pork)?", "Have you ever had carabou?". I was quite entertained. "Magandang dalaga", he called me (beautiful young lady). That made my day, AND it made my job so much easier! Too bad I'm really ilocano, and only understand some tagalog. *sigh... why can't all patients be this easy... and flattering ^_^ Okie, that's all. Shower taaahhhm!
